The leaves on a four-leaf clover are said to symbolize faith, hope, love, and luck. This Clover, a twelve-year-old Beagle, was in need of all four of those things when she came in to the Blount County Animal Center shelter in Tennessee on March 21st. She had been found as a stray, and sadly, she was in poor condition, with hair loss, heart murmur, ear infections, hypothyroid, and heartworms. With treatment for the hair loss and ear infections, as well as thyroid medication to improve her energy, Clover was on the mend and feeling better! But being a senior dog and still needing heartworm treatment, finding a rescue or adopter would require some good fortune.
On April 15th, Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, asked if we could help with the cost of Clover’s heartworm treatment. “We want to treat her heartworm disease,” Kristin said, “and find this senior girl a forever family that will provide the love and care she deserves!” We agreed to assist, and she received her treatment on April 22nd and 23rd!
Kristin told us that Clover is a super friendly gal who loves everyone she meets. And while she may be considered a senior, she’s still young at heart! To see more photos of Clover, click here.
RADAR paid all $292 of the heartworm treatment costs for Clover.
