Well, well, well, it’s Noel! Picked up as a stray by animal control on January 27th, two-year-old Noel was taken to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina. The combination of being mostly black, a Bully Breed mix and heartworms positive put her life on the line. Sure enough, on March 17th Noel was placed on the shelter’s “put to sleep” list for March 23rd.

When One Life to Live Pet Rescue and Adoption in Pennsylvania came forward to take Noel, Susan Blakeney is RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, was not going to let the cost of her heartworm treatment get in the way. Susan asked us for help, and we agreed to cover the cost. Noel had her heartworm treatment done on April 18th.

We were told this about Noel: “She is a gorgeous gal with a sweet personality and a wagging tail that just doesn’t stop! She walks nicely on a leash and has a lovely, calm demeanor, not overly energetic and in your face. Noel’s top-ten list includes getting belly rubs and giving kisses! If you are looking for the total package, look no further, here’s your girl!” Click here to view more photos of Noel.

RADAR paid all of Noel’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $239.
