Important Update (June 26, 2020)
After more than 8 years as a nonprofit, we, the co-founders of Raising Aid for Dogs At Risk (RADAR), wanted to let you know that we have made the very difficult decision to end our operations. A confluence of several factors led us to realize the time had come to bid a fond farewell to RADAR. Rest assured, this decision was not made lightly.
We can't fully express our deep gratitude for your support over the years. We have depended on your donations in order to operate, with 100% of the donations received used to help the dogs. To our shelter and rescue partners, we are so thankful to you for working with us to help save so many dogs. And, we are very grateful for the invaluable assistance of our volunteers over the years.
RADAR has had its ups and downs, but together we were able to help more than 2,500 at-risk dogs from more than a dozen states and more than 140 counties get their second chance. For that, we are so very grateful and proud.
RADAR has begun the lengthy legal nonprofit dissolution process. No RADAR funds will be used for this process. As RADAR's co-founders, we have always covered all the operating costs ourselves, and we will also personally pay all of the legal fees required for the dissolution.
We will, of course, fulfill all of our commitments that we've already made to assist several dozen more at-risk dogs, and those dogs will have their usual pages on our website and Facebook postings. Once all payments have been made, as part of the dissolution process, any remaining funds will be distributed to a few other nonprofits that RADAR has worked closely with over the years.
Please contact us with any questions or comments. Thanks again for all of your amazing support. Together, we made an impact on many lives.
