Ace

With a black dog named Ace, it sounds like a game of blackjack would be in order! Three years old and a Lab, Ace was twice abandoned. His original owner abandoned him at a family member’s home. After keeping him for awhile they abandoned him on September 11th to the Blount County Animal Center shelter in Tennessee. Unfortunately, he tested heartworm positive.

On September 19th, Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, sought RADAR’s help for Ace. “He’ll be better able to find his forever family once he completes his heartworm treatment,” Kristin said. We agreed to assist, and he had his treatment done September 25th.

“This sweet boy looks for his family every time he goes out for a walk,” Kristin told us. “He is very well-behaved. He walks well on a leash, enjoys playing with other dogs and knows some basic commands. His sad eyes will melt your heart!” To see more photos of Ace, click here.

RADAR paid all $356 of the heartworm treatment costs for Ace.

UPDATE! All funds for Ace have been raised! Thank you!
