It’s all about Allie! A one-and-a-half-year-old Bully Breed mix, this girl arrived at the Columbus County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on August 22nd. Despite being adorably sweet and silly, Allie had been through a lot. Her previous owners decided to dump Allie at the shelter, having kept her in their backyard for a month after selling her puppies. As if that wasn’t enough, Allie tested positive for heartworms.

Madi Joselyn, a shelter advocate, sought RADAR’s help on September 4th for Allie’s heartworm treatment costs on behalf of the Burlington County Animal Alliance in New Jersey. We agreed to assist, and she was safe! She received her treatment on October 2nd.

“Allie is hilarious and super wiggly!” the rescue told us. “We call her Miss Piggy because she’s so short. She was so scared when she was at the shelter, but turned into her happy, loving self once she was out of the shelter!” Click here to view more photos of Allie.

RADAR paid all of Allie’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $239.
