We were ardently interested in helping Arden! This three-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix arrived as a stray at the Rowan County Animal Shelter in Kentucky on September 19th. With the shelter overflowing, Arden was at risk right from the get-go. Fortunately, STAR (Saving the Animals of Rowan) got Arden safely out of the shelter on September 23rd.
With STAR overwhelmed by a recent hoarding case of 23 dogs in need of costly vet care, RADAR offered to cover all the costs for STAR’s dogs participating in the Morehead State University Veterinary Technology Program (MSU-VTP) for September. Once a month several STAR dogs get a week of vet care and treatment at a greatly reduced cost. Arden was one of the STAR dogs to go to MSU-VTP the week of September 23rd.
Arden had all of his initial vetting done, was neutered and got a full week of vet care and attention for only $65! And, he tested heartworm negative. STAR described Arden this way: “He is just a great dog. He’s very sweet and sensitive. He gets along well with other dogs. Arden walks well on a leash, and loves people. What a sweetheart!” The folks at MSU-VTP told us this: “Arden loves attention from both people and other dogs!” To view more photos of Arden, click here.
RADAR paid $65 for all of Arden’s veterinary care and neutering costs.
