Brady isn’t an intense football player like Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, in fact, he is a happy-go-lucky Labrador Retriever mix. One-and-a-half years old, he arrived as a stray on April 3rd at the Aiken County Animal Shelter in South Carolina. It’s a good thing Brady didn’t realize he had heartworms inside his heart, as being heartworm positive lessened his chances to find a rescue or adopter.
Mary Lou Seymour with Shelter Animals Advocates (SAA) contacted RADAR about Brady on April 26th. Could we pay for Brady’s heartworm treatment so that SAA could take him into the rescue? We agreed to help, and Brady had his heartworm treatment on May 2nd.
“Brady’s a very friendly guy who is eager to please,” December Clark, Mary Lou’s partner with SAA, told us. “He walks very well on a leash and is an all-around nice fellow.” To see more photos of Brady, click here.
RADAR paid all $349 of the heartworm treatment costs for Brady.
