Hello, my name is Brock! I’m a handsome two-year-old Lab mix looking for a brand-new place to call home. I was a stray for a while, but on July 3rd I ended up at the Columbus County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. I made a lot of new friends while I was there, but unfortunately, I got some bad news. Like a lot of my new friends, I was heartworm positive, which makes it a lot more difficult to be rescued or adopted.

I had the good fortune of having many kind folks and groups collaborating to help me. On July 18th, RescueConnect Animal Rescue in North Carolina reached out to RADAR on my behalf. If the costs of my heartworm treatment could be covered, RescueConnect would take me, facilitate my treatment and send me to the New England Lab Rescue in Maine! RADAR agreed and I received my nasty heartworm treatments on August 20th and 21st.

I have been called “such a sweet boy!” I adjusted easily to my foster home and my foster brother and sister. I love to play with balls, chew bones and get belly rubs every chance I can get! I love everyone I meet and will make an amazing pet for my forever home! Click here to view more photos of me!

RADAR paid all of Brock’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $331.

UPDATE! All funds for Brock have been raised! Thank you!
