It’s the brilliant and breathtakingly beautiful Bronwyn! A three-year-old Collie, Shepherd and Husky mix, this sweet girl was brought to the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society (MAMAS) shelter in rural Bamberg County in South Carolina on June 18th. The gentleman who had found her and brought her in couldn’t keep her due to his health problems. As it turns out, Bronwyn had a health problem of her own. She tested positive for heartworms and would need treatment
On July 4th, Ruthie Rish at MAMAS reached out to us to ask for our help with Bronwyn. “She has every chance of getting adopted or rescued, if we can get her treated for her heartworms,” Ruthie said. We agreed, and she received her heartworm treatments on July 10th and 11th.
“Bronwyn is a super sweet and pretty girl,” Ruthie told us. “She loved being in our office and always seemed sad to be in a kennel outside.” Ruthie also shared the good news with us that on the weekend of July 14th and 15th, Bronwyn was transported to Lighthouse Animal Shelter in Massachusetts to find her forever home. RADAR paid all of Bronwyn’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $190.
