Brooke

Brooke loves to smile and the whole world is smiling with her. Brooke is a happy, happy dog whose owners surrendered her to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina on May 15th. Sadly, Brooke had heartworms, which are nothing to smile about.

Almost Home Rescue in Pennsylvania offered to rescue Brooke if her heartworm treatment could be funded. On June 12th, Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, asked for RADAR’s help. We agreed and Brooke received her heartworm treatment on June 20th.

Someone who was able to read Brooke’s mind told us this is what Brooke is thinking: “Go with the flow! Folks really love me and frankly it’s mighty easy to do so. I’m a chill, happy-faced girl who loves interacting with other dogs and my tail keeps a super steady beat when humans pet me and give me special one-on-one attention. I’m a great choice as a family dog. Kids make me smile and certainly other dogs do as well!” To see more photos of Brooke, click here.

RADAR paid all $223 of the heartworm treatment costs for Brooke.

UPDATE! All funds for Brooke have been raised! Thank you!
