Bruno

What do you know, it’s Bruno! Way back on June 15th, Bruno and four other dogs were surrendered by their owner to the Lee County Animal Shelter in South Carolina. Bruno, a three to four-year-old Bully Breed mix, was the last of this group to receive any type of interest. Being heartworm positive dog only made his safe passage out of the shelter would be all the more challenging.

Brandi Sowell, RADAR’s liaison with the Lee County Animal Shelter, asked us for help with Bruno on August 29th. Virginia Paws for Pits rescue would take Bruno if we could assist with his heartworm treatment costs. We agreed. After a delay while the rescue had to wait for an available foster home, Bruno was able to get his heartworm treatment done on November 30th and December 1st.

“Bruno is a super sweet guy!” Brandi shared with us. “He is great with other dogs and cats. In fact, since he was so good, I usually used him to test other dogs at the shelter, and he got to go out in play groups. He’s a great boy!” We were told that Bruno’s foster mom with the rescue just raves about how perfect he is! To see more photos of Bruno, click here.

RADAR paid $250 towards the heartworm treatment costs for Bruno.
