No need to fluster or bluster, but we do need to muster for Buster! This 18-month-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix arrived as a stray on May 3rd at the Sampson County Animal Shelter in Clinton, North Carolina. When it was discovered on May 21st that Buster was heartworm positive, his chances of getting out of the shelter alive greatly diminished.
On May 21st, in response to the shelter’s urgent appeal for Buster, RADAR provided an offer of assistance towards his heartworm treatment costs as an incentive for a rescue to take him. On May 29th, Last Chance Animal Rescue in New York agreed to take Buster!
Buster began his heartworm treatment on June 13th, and it was completed on July 18th. Buster gets along well with other dogs, cats and children. To view more photos of Buster, click here.
RADAR paid $250 towards Buster’s heartworm treatment costs.
