Carolina

If Neil Diamond had met this dog, his song might well have been “Sweet Carolina!” About two years old, this Whippet mix arrived on March 12th as a stray at the Lee County Animal Services shelter in North Carolina. But Carolina did not arrive alone. She had three puppies with her, and they were only three months old! This rural kill shelter was no place for Carolina or her pups.

On March 17th, Last Paw Rescue in Wisconsin asked for RADAR’s help. If we would assist with Carolina’s vetting costs, the rescue would take Carolina and all three of her pups! We agreed at once, and Carolina and her family were safely out of the shelter the same day. Carolina also had her initial vetting done on March 17th. All three puppies have been adopted, and Carolina is now with Adopt Me Animal Rescue in Indiana.

We were told this about Carolina: “She is a ball of energy! In her new foster home, Carolina loves her toys. Anytime you see her, she is carrying one around. Her little stuffed toys are always with her. She likes to always take them outside and leaves them in the yard! She would love a family of her own.” Click here to view more photos of Carolina.

RADAR paid $147 towards Carolina’s initial vetting costs.
