Rather than Charlie’s Angel’s, we have Charlie, an angel! On November 10th, this two to three-year-old English Shepherd mix arrived as a stray at the Colleton County Animal Control shelter in South Carolina. Unfortunately, Charlie tested heartworm positive, which put his life at risk at this rural shelter.
On November 18th, the rescue Canine Commitment of New England in New Hampshire expressed interest in taking Charlie. However, they needed help with his heartworm treatment costs. A volunteer at the shelter reached out to RADAR to request our help. We agreed and Charlie was on his way to a rescue! On December 29th and 30th, Charlie received his heartworm treatment.
We were told this about Charlie: “He is a sweet boy who gets along with everyone. He enjoys playing with other dogs. He is a big mush who melts into the lap of anyone who stops to pet him! Charlie is quiet and well behaved in the house” Charlie is now ready for a new beginning and a forever home! Click here to view more photos of Charlie.
RADAR paid all of Charlie’s heartworm treatment costs, totaling $250.
