There’s no need to Hush, Hush, about this Sweet Charlotte! One to two years old and a Boxer mix, Charlotte arrived at the Chesterfield County Animal Services shelter in South Carolina on November 21st. Charlotte and her three puppies were brought to the shelter after being surrendered to animal control officers. The shelter staff found that Charlotte lived up to her name, and was very sweet indeed. She also was a very loving and caring mother to her pups. Unfortunately, Charlotte tested heartworm positive.

On December 3rd, RADAR received a request to help Charlotte from the shelter. Forgotten Tails Animal Rescue in South Carolina, which facilitates the rescue of dogs for Mary’s Dogs Rescue & Adoption in New Hampshire would take Charlotte and and her three puppies IF her heartworm treatment costs could be covered. We agreed to assist, and got this message from the shelter: “Thanks again a thousand times over for helping the Chesterfield fur-babies!”

All three of Charlotte’s puppies have now been adopted. Charlotte received her heartworm treatment on January 8th. We were told this about Charlotte: “She is very sweet and friendly. She always wants to please. She is housebroken and walks well on a leash. Charlotte loves attention and is energetic. She plays well with dogs, especially small dogs. Charlotte loves everybody!” Click here to view more photos of Charlotte.

RADAR paid all of Charlotte’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $226.
