Presenting Chelsea: the dog, the problem and the solution.
The dog. Chelsea, who was formerly known as Sabrina, is a two-year-old Lab mix. She is very playful and she loves spending time with others. She enjoys being active but is also happy to just relax and sit near someone she loves. She gets along great with adults, children, and other dogs. She’s a real crowd-pleaser who is always up for meeting new friends and impressing them with her sociable personality. She’s got everything you could ask for in one cute, compact four-legged package! The problem. On July 19th, Chelsea was brought to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina by animal control after she was abandoned by her former owners. Sadly, Chelsea tested positive for heartworms. Caring for Creatures in Virginia was interested in pulling Chelsea from the shelter, and while her heartworm treatment was already taken care of, the rescue still needed help with the cost of her pull fees that covered her initial vetting and spay.
The Solution. Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, reached out to RADAR on November 7th to see if we could help with the pull fees. We agreed to assist, and Chelsea was safe!
RADAR paid all $233 of the initial vetting and spaying costs for Chelsea.
We need your help to help us cover our costs of helping Chelsea. Please donate to her Fund now!
