Presenting Clementine: the dog, the problem and the solution.

The dog. Clementine is a two year-old Rottweiler-Hound mix who is described as a great dog! She’s described as a very nice girl who sits pretty and walks nicely. To see more photos of Clementine, click here.

The problem. On July 11th, Clementine was admitted to the Greenwood County Animal Shelter in South Carolina as a stray. Unfortunately, Clementine tested heartworm positive, which greatly limited her chances of getting adopted or rescued.

The Solution. Mary Lou Seymour with Shelter Animals Advocates and its HeartBeat Goes On program requested RADAR’s assistance for Clementine. If we could provide funding for her heartworm treatment costs, Shelter Animals Advocates would pull her from the shelter. We agreed, and she had her heartworm treatment done on August 18th.  Then came some more good news: Dog Star Rescue in Connecticut decided to take Clementine!

RADAR paid all $308 of the heartworm treatment costs for Clementine.

UPDATE! All funds for Clementine have been raised! Thank you!
