Cleo may share one trait that Cleopatra was known for: being as gorgeous as she is. But it pretty much stops there for this happy-go-lucky girl, who would probably take some delicious food over a crown any day. A seven-year-old German Shepherd mix, this laid-back lady arrived at the Duplin County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on October 23rd. Nothing was known about her past or where she came from, but one thing was for sure: she was heartworm positive.

On October 30th, the Guardian Animal Foundation in North Carolina sought RADAR’s help with Cleo’s heartworm treatment costs. Cleo’s time was up, and if we could assist, they would pull Cleo. We agreed, and she was safe! She began her heartworm treatment medications on November 13th.

“Cleo is kid, cat, dog, and chicken-friendly,” we were told. “She has gotten along well with her foster siblings, both big and small. Her absolute favorite thing is food! Her second favorite thing is lounging near her person! She is so sweet!” To see more photos of Cleo, click here.

RADAR paid all $248 for the heartworm treatment medication costs for Cleo.
