Two-year-old Crystal wanted nothing more than to look into a crystal ball and see herself enjoying the rest of her life in a happy home with a loving family. When she arrived at the shelter in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on July 12, Crystal’s fortune was looking a little unclear. Being a black dog and a Bully Breed mix was already a setback in terms of being adopted or rescued, and to top it all off, Crystal was heartworm positive.
Despite the low chances of Crystal’s vision coming true, there was still hope. Anna Cilento, founder and director of Suruluna Animal Rescue in New York State, reached out to RADAR for help with Crystal. If we could provide assistance with the cost of Crystal’s heartworm treatment, the rescue would be able to pull her from the shelter. We agreed to assist, and she got her treatment on September 13th!
“Crystal is a very sweet little girl who had a few litters and a hard life, but she loves everyone,” Anna told us. “She has no aggression at all, and she has some scars on her face probably from other dogs. She is great in the house, walks well on a leash and is just too cute and cuddly to not fall in love with her. Crystal is an amazing dog!” Click here to view more photos of Crystal.
RADAR paid all of Crystal’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $356.
UPDATE! Crystal has been adopted!
It is only with your help that we can cover our costs of helping Crystal. Please donate to her Fund now!
