Cupid doesn’t need any special arrows to get you to fall for her! This affectionate one-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier-Lab mix ended up at the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina as a stray on November 14th. And while Cupid’s heart was full of love, it was also full of pesky heartworms.

On March 9th, Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, reached out to RADAR to see if we could help. Maple Leaf Mutts in Vermont agreed to help Cupid, but she first needed her heartworm treatment taken care of. We agreed to assist, knowing that it just wasn’t right for Cupid’s heart to be anything less than perfect. She received her treatment on March 20th.

It seemed like everyone who came in contact with Cupid fell in love with her energetic and sweet personality. She’s been described to us as being full of spunk and super friendly. Cupid gets along especially well with dogs, and she seems to like interacting with cats–when one kissed her, she responded sweetly by licking her paw. She adores spending time with others, and she’s been known to clean faces with her kisses! Click here to view more photos of Cupid.

RADAR paid all of Cupid’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $197.

UPDATE! All funds for Cupid have been raised! Thank you!
