Meet Daisy, the darling from Darlington County, South Carolina! It’s easy to want to make this Daisy your darling. But it’s hard to believe that she arrived as a stray at the Darlington County Humane Society shelter on May 9th. To make matters worse, Daisy had heartworms, which are “No daisy. No daisy at all.”
One Life to Live Rescue and Adoption in Pennsylvania wanted to rescue Daisy. But first, someone needed to be a daisy and fund her heartworm treatment. Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, reached out to RADAR for help with funding. We agreed and Daisy received her heartworm treatment on June 14th.
At 50 pounds, she’s a gorgeous Labrador-Shepherd mix. Not too big and not too small, Daisy has it all: “Incredibly sweet and, oh my, what a love! If you are in the market for a loving, more chill Lab mix, then look no further than Daisy. Just as gentle and soft spoken as they come, she’s a great match for a family with other dogs and kids. Graced with an adorable, expressive face, Daisy knows how to get the pet job done!” To see more photos of Daisy, click here.
RADAR paid all $304 of the heartworm treatment costs for Daisy.
UPDATE! All funds for Daisy have been raised! Thank you!
