Darryl wants to get up close and personal! On November 16th, this one to two-year-old Bulldog-Pug mix was brought to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina along with his older brother, Hershel, a two to three-year-old Bulldog-Pug mix. Being Bully Breeds and heartworm positive, these two strays were at risk, and they needed help.
Thankfully, One Life to Live Rescue and Adoption in Pennsylvania took an interest in them. They wanted to save both Darryl and Hershel, but there was one problem: they needed assistance with the cost of their heartworm treatment. On December 1st, Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, asked if RADAR could assist. We agreed, and Darryl and Hershel got their treatment on December 19th!
Darryl wants nothing more than to be close to his human. Just when you think he can’t get any nearer, he’ll do everything he can to snuggle closer. “This lower riding, mid-size fellow is just as cute as they come. When folks talk about ‘curb appeal,’ well, you can count on the cars lining up on the street to view this darling guy,” folks at the shelter said. Click here to view more photos of Darryl.
RADAR paid all of Darryl’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $180.
