Dawson is an awesome blue boy! This three-year-old Bully Breed mix showed up as a stray on September 9th at the Columbus County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. His happy personality captured the shelter staff’s attention and love, but Dawson was in danger at the full shelter due to his heartworm positive status.

On November 3rd, Suruluna Animal Rescue in New York requested RADAR’s help with Dawson’s heartworm treatment costs. If we could assist, they would pull Dawson. We committed to helping with the costs. Dawson received his heartworm injections on December 1st and 15th.

We were told that “Dawson is such a great chill dog! He is a big puppy—affectionate, playful and goofy! Dawson loves everyone, including children, and he is always learning new things and looking to smell what he can. He is strong and very muscular but he can be easily managed with a good harness. He is learning to live inside a home and loving it!” Be sure to view more photos in Dawson’s gallery.

RADAR paid $250 towards Dawson’s heartworm treatment costs.
