It’s the swank Hank! Two to three years old and a 95-pound Bullmastiff mix, Hank was surrendered to the Marlboro County Animal Shelter in South Carolina on July 1st. Hank’s owner told the shelter staff that he could no longer afford to care for him. Hank was great with people and other dogs. He was very friendly and loving too. But he had heartworms, which, when combined his his large size, put his life at risk at the shelter.
On July 8th, Melissa Bielawski with Ollie’s Angels Animal Rescue in New York contacted RADAR. Melissa was interested in pulling Hank if we would assist with his heartworm treatment costs. “He really deserves a chance at a great life!” Melissa said. We agreed to help. Hank had his heartworm treatment done on July 11th and August 22nd.
“Hank is a gentle and sweet soul,” Melissa told us. “He is very good with other dogs, as well as all people he meets. He’s a big goofball who is super smart and already knows commands. He’s a huge fan of water. A dip in the kiddie pool is his favorite time of the day! He’s very treat motivated and just wants to make his people happy.” Click here to view more photos of Hank.
RADAR paid $250 towards Hank’s heartworm treatment costs.
