With eHarmony, sometimes it’s love at first site! But with this Harmony it’s always love at first sight! On December 1st, Harmony, a two-year-old Pit Bull mix arrived at the Chester County Animal Care & Control shelter in South Carolina. She had been found abandoned at a house. While authorities pursued negligence charges, Harmony was on a court-ordered hold at the shelter. She was also heartworm positive.

On January 17th, Harmony was released from her court hold. That same day shelter animal advocate Merrily Caldwell contacted RADAR to see if we could assist with Harmony’s heartworm treatment costs. If so, South of the Bully Rescue in North Carolina would pull her and get her heartworm treatment done the very next day. We agreed and her heartworm treatment took place on January 18th.

“Harmony is settling into her foster home wonderfully!” the rescue told us. “She’s very sweet, calm and cuddly. Her foster mom is in love with her! Harmony is very loving. She doesn’t bother the cat at all and has had no accidents while being house trained. Her foster mom said she’s perfect!” Click here to view more photos of Harmony.

RADAR paid $250 towards Harmony’s heartworm treatment costs.
