Hooch

It’s Hooch the pooch who loves to smooch! An eight-year-old Mastiff mix, Hooch was surrendered by his owner to the Harnett County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on March 31st. And what were the reasons for Hooch’s surrender? His age and skin condition. So now Hooch’s life was on the line at the shelter. It didn’t help that he is a larger dog, weighing in at 77 pounds.

Chris Leone, RADAR’s liaison for the Harnett County Animal Shelter, immediately asked us to help Hooch. We provided an offer to help cover Hooch’s vetting costs as an incentive for a rescue to take him. On April 5th, the rescue Houlagans’ Rest in Virginia agreed to take Hooch!

Hooch had his initial vetting and neutering done on April 20th. The rescue shared this with us: “Hooch is a very sweet boy who gets along with all the other dogs. His foster says that he is a joy to have. He does have a skin issue, for which he is being treated.” To view more photos of Hooch, click here.

RADAR paid all $134 of the initial vetting and neutering costs for Hooch.
