Hi, I’m Jack! I’m a great-looking Great Pyrenees with an even greater attitude! With five years of life behind me, I’ve had lots of experiences, but now I want to experience having a forever home. I arrived as a stray at the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society (MAMAS) shelter in Bamberg County in South Carolina on March 20th. Folks at the shelter took good care of me, shaving off my matted fur and treating my ear infections. But I still needed some help. I was heartworm positive, and from what I’d heard, that would make it a lot harder for me to be rescued or adopted.
Thankfully, there were people looking out for me! On March 26th, Ruthie Rish with MAMAS asked a group called RADAR if they could assist with the cost of my heartworm treatment. And guess what? RADAR said they would help! I got my treatment on May 14th. Thank goodness that’s done.
Ruthie said that I’m a sweet boy, and that I kind of looked like a Poodle with all of my hair trimmed! I don’t mind what I look like, though. Pyrenees or Poodle, I’m just so happy to have a second chance at life! And besides, my hair is growing back and I’m looking pretty good, if I do say so myself! To see more photos of me, click here.
RADAR paid all $360 of the heartworm treatment costs for Jack.
UPDATE! All funds for Jack have been raised! Thank you!
