It was just past noon on July 29th when we received an urgent request for Jada. A two to three-year-old Pit Bull mix, Jada had less than six hours left to get a rescue commitment or be euthanized. She had entered the Rocky Mount Animal Shelter in Nash County, North Carolina on July 23rd, and already her time was up.

It was Dee Dee Smith of HGBSL Rescue in North Carolina who made the request to RADAR for assistance for Jada (known as Cardie at the shelter). If we could help, she could pull Jada and save her life. We agreed and Jada was safe! She was spayed on August 27th.

“Jada is a loving, sweet and happy girl,” Dee Dee told us. “She is in a foster home with another death-row dog who was saved from the same shelter. She has a great personality. She loves children and other dogs, and doesn’t seem to mind cats.” To view more photos of Jada, click here.

RADAR paid all $91 for Jada’s spaying costs.
