Jubilee

Jubilation over saving Jubilee was no guarantee, especially with her Pit Bull mix pedigree. Approximately three years old and underweight, Jubilee arrived at the Chester County Animal Care & Control shelter in South Carolina on February 7th. She was surrendered by her owner to face a very uncertain future. Jubilee’s combination of being a black dog, a Pit Bull mix and heartworm positive did not bode well for her.

On February 9th, as an incentive for a rescue to take Jubilee, RADAR provided an offer to assist with her heartworm treatment costs. Despite lots of networking and sharing, for over two months Jubilee had no rescue interest. At last, on April 20th, Home Free Animal Rescue in New Jersey agreed to take Jubilee! And that had everyone jumping for joy for Jubilee!

The heartworm treatment for Jubilee took place on on May 13th. These were some things we were told about her: “Jubilee is a bundle of energy and always eager for attention! She is good with people, other dogs and even cats.” Click here to view more photos of Jubilee.

RADAR paid all $215 of Jubilee’s heartworm treatment costs.
