Kaizer is the German word for “emperor,” but our Kaizer had no domain to rule over! On March 10th, Kaizer and two other dogs were taken by animal control to the Lee County Animal Shelter in South Carolina. Kaizer, a two-year-old Bully Breed mix, was black and heartworm positive, and not receiving any rescue or adoption interest. The odds of Kaizer making it out of the shelter alive were slim.
Brandi Sowell, RADAR’s liaison with the Lee County Animal Shelter, asked us for help with Kaizer on March 26th. Virginia Paws for Pits would take Kaizer if we could assist with his heartworm treatment costs. And we agreed to do just that. Kaizer went in for his heartworm treatment on April 10th.
“Kaizer is the perfect Pit!” Brandi shared with us. “He is great with other dogs and cats. In fact, since he was so perfect he was used to test new dogs’ temperament! Kaizer’s foster mom is already smitten with him, and said he immediately felt like part of the family!” To see more photos of Kaizer, click here.
RADAR paid all $250 of the heartworm treatment costs for Kaizer.
UPDATE! All funds for Kaizer have been raised! Thank you!
