Presenting Kim: the dog, the problem and the solution.
The Dog. Kim is a 60-pound, two-year-old Bully Breed mix. She is described by her foster mom as, “the sweetest and most gentle dog I have ever been around. She’s very laid-back and just wants to hang around people.” To see more photos of Kim, click here.
The Problem. It was way back in early August of 2017 when Kim arrived at the Vance County Animal Control shelter in North Carolina. It is not known how or why she ended up in the shelter, but what was known is that she was heartworm positive. After five long months of living in limbo at the shelter, by early January her life was on the line as she could be euthanized at any time.
The Solution. On January 6th, Ruth Turner with the Coastal Canine Rescue in North Carolina contacted RADAR for help with Kim. If we could assist with her heartworm treatment costs, the rescue would pull Kim. We agreed and Kim was safe! After getting treatment for ehrlichiosis and being spayed, she began her heartworm treatment on March 5th.
RADAR paid $250 towards the heartworm treatment costs for Kim.
UPDATE! All funds for Kim have been raised! Thank you!
