Kudos to everyone who helped save Kudos! And in this case, it’s double kudos since both Kudos and Tasha were saved. On September 16th, both dogs were surrendered to the Aiken County Animal Shelter in South Carolina. Their owner was moving and could not take the dogs along. Kudos is a five-year-old Boxer-Bully Breed blend and Tasha is a ten-year-old Bully Breed mix. Bad enough to lose their home, but with both dogs testing positive for heartworms, they were now in danger of losing their lives without a rescue commitment.

Mary Lou Seymour with The Heart Beat Goes On program would have to double her efforts to save this duo. She started getting the word out about Kudos and Tasha on September 21st. With time running out for Kudos and Tasha and no rescue stepping up to take either dog, on September 26th Shelter Animals Advocates, the parent organization of The Heart Beat Goes On, decided they had to make one last effort to save Kudos and Tasha. If RADAR could help with their heartworm treatment costs, they would pull both dogs. We agreed and they did!

Kudos and Tasha received their heartworm treatment on September 20th. December Clark, Mary Lou’s partner with The Heart Beat Goes On, told us this about Kudos: “He is a friendly, gentle and relaxed dog. He is good with other dogs, and connects well socially with them.” To see more photos of Kudos, click here.

RADAR paid $300 towards the heartworm treatment costs for Kudos.
