We know that Levis are pants, but we don’t know if this Levi pants! Levi is an approximately one-year-old Shepherd mix who arrived at the Mercer County Animal Shelter in West Virginia on August 28th. We’re not sure how or why Levi ended up at the shelter, but his days were numbered.

Animal Advocates in Pennsylvania agreed to take Levi on September 30th, and we agreed to assist. The next day, October 1st, Levi was safely out of the shelter and off to the vet. And not a day to soon. Dogs were euthanized at the shelter on October 1st, and Levi would have been another one of those deceased dogs.

On October 2nd, Levi received his initial vetting and was neutered. Levi was boarded at the vet until a temporary foster home became available on October 10th. As the rescue told us, “We knew absolutely nothing about this dog, but knew that without our rescuing him, he would have died as though he never existed.” Click here to view more photos of Levi.

RADAR paid $150 towards Levi’s initial vetting, neutering and temporary boarding costs.
