This Linus needed more than a blanket to keep him safe! He was found abandoned in a house by animal control on April 13th and taken to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina. Two years old and a Bully Breed mix, Linus had the misfortune of being heartworm positive.

On April 28th, Home At Last Dog Rescue in Pennsylvania offered to take Linus, but only if his heartworm treatment costs could be covered. Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, turned to us for help. Of course, we agreed!

Linus had his heartworm treatment done on May 16th. We were told this about Linus: “He’s definitely the kind of dog who will steal your heart quickly. He loves to just come over and rest his head in your lap. He is such a happy, sweet and loving dog!” Click here to view more photos of Linus.

RADAR paid all of the heartworm treatment costs for Linus, which totaled $271.
