Magic

Meet the majestic Magic! This five-year-old Irish Setter mix has an interesting story. He was found as a stray on July 11th along with a senior dog with an attitude. The two dogs were taken to the Blount County Animal Shelter in Tennessee. Amazingly enough, their owner was found; however, the owner decided to reclaim the senior dog with the attitude and leave Magic at the shelter. Perhaps the owner knew Magic was heartworm positive and didn’t want to deal with it.

On July 18th, RADAR’s liaison at the shelter, Kristen Baksa, contacted us for help with Magic’s heartworm treatment. “He is a great dog!” Kristen told us. “And, he is drop dead gorgeous!” We agreed to help. Magic had his treatment on done on July 25th.

The shelter had this to share about Magic: “He’s a handsome, friendly boy with a beautiful coat and gorgeous eyes. Because he’s somewhat of an escape artist, Magic is looking for a forever home with a secure fenced-in yard. He’s good with other dogs and cats. He’s calm but playful!” To see more photos of Magic, click here.

RADAR paid all $356 of the heartworm treatment costs for Magic.
