No baloney, it’s Maloney! This two-year-old Bassett Hound mix arrived at the Columbus County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on January 23rd as a stray. Unfortunately, Maloney tested heartworm positive. A few days later, and with his hold time up at this high kill shelter, Maloney was on the euthanasia list.

On January 27th, RescueConnect in North Carolina reached out to RADAR in an effort to save Maloney. If the costs of his heartworm treatment could be provided, the rescue would take him. We agreed to assist, and Maloney was safe! He received his heartworm treatments on March 1st, and on April 4th and 5th.

Maloney’s foster mom had this to share with us: “He is an amazing dog. He is smart, gets along with everyone in my pack and found his place easily. He loves playing with plush toys with squeakers and my Basset Barney. They are BBFs!” To see more photos of Maloney, click here.

RADAR paid all $269 of the heartworm treatment costs, for Maloney.

UPDATE! All funds for Maloney have been raised! Thank you!
