Marley was described to us as a true ambassador for Bully Breeds. Not only is he a total love bug, but he is kind and gentle to all he meets. Estimated to be four years old, Marley was picked up as a stray on October 14th and taken to the Warren County Animal shelter in North Carolina. Of course, no one came to claim Marley. From the scars on him, it was clear that his life had not been easy. Just to make things even more difficult for Marley, he tested heartworm positive.

On October 21st, Henni Rains with Dune Dawgs Rescue in North Carolina reached out to RADAR for help with Marley. His time was up at the shelter, and the rescue was interested in taking him, but could only do so with assistance for his heartworm treatment cost. We agreed and Marley was safe! He had his heartworm treatments on December 15th and January 12th.

Marley had the good fortune to be placed in a wonderful foster-to-adopt home in Virginia. Henni shared this with us: “Marley is a smart boy who wants to please. He’s adapting to the ways of being in a home with a family very well. He’s a talker, a couch/blanket hog and a complete goofball! Thanks to RADAR for your support in his journey.” Click here to view more photos of Marley.

RADAR paid all of Marley’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $200.
