Maw, your life has been a see-saw, full of ups and downs. It’s time to rest your weary paws in your own playground. Maw is estimated to be a seven-year-old Pomeranian mix who was brought into the Mercer County Animal Shelter in West Virginia on October 1st. We don’t know how or why she ended up at the shelter. This high-kill facility has an 11-day grace period before dogs are at risk of being euthanized. Maw almost drew the short straw.
However, on October 11th, RADAR offered to assist with the cost of Maw’s vetting as an incentive for a rescue to take her. Maw caught the eye of a willing rescue and on October 21st, Paws for Seniors, a rescue located in Virginia, agreed to take her. She was vetted and received dental care on October 23rd. She was found to have already been spayed (applause for someone!). Three days later Maw was transported from the shelter to her foster home in Virginia.
Maw’s foster mom is busy these days balancing Maw’s full social calendar with home life. Sweet Maw enjoys visiting nursing home residents (where she is a big hit), begging for treats (which is quite cute), and going to the groomer (where the staff fell in love with her). Maw doesn’t want any down time! Click here to see more photos of Maw.
RADAR paid all $211 of Maw’s initial vetting and dental care costs.
