Meet the magnificent Maximus! Found as a stray on October 14th, this two-year-old Bully Breed-Boxer blend, was taken to the Blount County Animal Center shelter in Tennessee. It’s tough enough finding an adopter or rescue for a Bully Breed mix, but when Maximus tested heartworm positive, it meant that it would be all the more difficult.
On October 23rd, Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, requested RADAR’s help for Maximus. “Once his heartworm treatment is complete,” Kristin told us, “we are hoping to find this boy the family that he deserves.” We agreed to assist, and on November 14th he had his heartworm treatment done.
“He’s a friendly guy and well-behaved,” Kristin shared with us. “He walks great on a leash, which is surprising for his young age and large size. He clearly didn’t get too much attention in the past, so he loves the attention he’s getting at the shelter!” Click here to view more photos of Maximus.
RADAR paid $250 towards the heartworm treatment costs for Maximus.
UPDATE! All funds for Maximus have been raised! Thank you!
