Mikey

Mikey is happy-go-lucky two-year-old Yellow Lab mix. He’s a cool dude all the way around! Unfortunately, Mikey found himself at the Coweta County Animal Control shelter in Georgia. Once more, here is a perfectly well-rounded, happy dog, but because of his common breed, he is overlooked by potential adopters. Mikey would sit there waiting and watching and wagging. But no one adopted him. On the morning he was to be euthanized, Mikey ended up being saved! Now Mikey gets a real chance at a real life.

Mikey is one of 20 dogs who took part in the incredible “Underdogs Railroad Shuffle Off to Buffalo” transport on December 8th and 9th. The dogs were pulled from a high-kill shelter in Georgia, where volunteers got them vetted and provided temporary boarding. RADAR paid for the dogs’ transport to Buffalo, New York, where LotsaDogs Rescue received them and took them on the last leg of their long journey to Whitby, Ontario. UPDATE! All funds for Mikey have been raised! Thank you!
