Presenting Milo: the dog, the problem and the solution.
The dog. Milo is a shy, but sweet boy, who gets along with everybody. Approximately seven years old and a Golden Retriever mix. Milo was so mellow that he was used to test the other dogs at the shelter. He’s quiet and really beautiful. Milo is a gentle and calm boy, who deserves a forever family. The problem. Milo belonged to a man who kept him inside. When this man died, the family just turned Milo out. He had no fence or anything, and he was completely on his own. A board member with the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society (MAMAS) shelter in Bamberg County in South Carolina brought Milo to the shelter on November 19th. Milo was very scared, had ticks, an injury to his ear and was also heartworm positive.
The Solution. Ruthie Rish with MAMAS reached out to RADAR about Milo. The folks at MAMAS wanted to get his heartworm treatment done so that this senior dog would be ready to find his forever family. We agreed and he received his heartworm treatment on December 18th.
RADAR paid all of Milo’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $270.
