Presenting Moby: the dog, the problem and the solution.

The dog. Moby is a two-year-old Bully Breed mix. He is described as “very friendly, well behaved, energetic and a really great dog!” He gets along great with other dogs and has a wonderful personality. Click here to view more photos of Moby.

The problem. Moby was found as a stray along a highway and taken to the Duplin County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on January 14th. At some point, someone cropped his ears. Tough enough being a Bully Breed mix in a small, rural high-kill shelter, but having heartworms only made matters worse.

The Solution. On February 19th, Anna Cilento of Suruluna Animal Rescue in New York asked RADAR for assistance for Moby’s heartworm treatment costs. If we could help, the rescue would pull Moby (known as Bolt at the shelter). We agreed and Moby was safe! He had an x-ray and blood work done on March 23rd, and received his heartworm treatment on March 24 and 25th.

RADAR paid all of Moby’s x-ray, blood test and heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $308.
