Holy Moses! Approximately nine years old, Moses is a Beagle who arrived at the very small, crowded and rural Warren County Animal shelter in North Carolina on March 14th. We’re not sure how he ended up at the shelter, but we do know that this sweet old boy was heartworm positive and had terrible teeth. The weeks passed without any adopter or rescue interest in Moses.
On March 28th, shelter animal advocate Barbara Keller asked for RADAR to help with Moses (who was then known as Darin). We provided an offer to assist with his heartworm treatment costs as an incentive for a rescue to take him. A few days later, Cathy Threadingham and her Hope Animal Rescue in North Carolina pulled Moses from the shelter! After getting neutered and much-needed dental care, Moses received his heartworm treatment on May 2nd and June 20th.
Cathy told us this about Moses: “He is an old soul who typically has a laid-back demeanor, but he gets so excited and energetic when his humans return home. He likes to play with his foster siblings. Moses loves a good treat! He’s a great little guy and would love to go home with you!” Click here to view more photos of Moses.
RADAR paid all of the heartworm treatment costs for Moses, which totaled $319.
