Ozzie, a two-year-old Beagle mix, is quite the troublemaker according to some. He has that in common with the famous rock musician Ozzy Osbourne. This Ozzie was accused of luring a large Labrador Retriever out of his yard and “teaching him to get in trouble” by the big dog’s owner, who reclaimed the Lab after both dogs were picked up as strays and taken to the Blount County Animal Center in Tennessee on March 12th. Ozzie was difficult to catch but was finally outwitted by the shelter staff. He was heartworm positive, which diminished his chances for adoption or rescue.

Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, sought RADAR’s help on March 18th. She asked if we could assist with Ozzie’s heartworm treatment costs. “This little guy will find a great home,” Kristin told us, “once we treat him for heartworm disease.” We said “yes” and on April 2nd, Ozzie finished his heartworm treatment.

Ozzie is described as having an innocent face and being a very sweet dog. He is small at only twenty pounds and very cute with short legs. “It’s hard to believe that Ozzie is a troublemaker,” Kristin said. “Just look at that face!” Oh, Ozzie! Click here to view more photos of Ozzie.

RADAR paid all of Ozzie’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $286.
