A cat may have nine lives, but Paisley gave birth to nine lives! She was very pregnant when she was surrendered by her owners to the Rocky Mount Animal Shelter in Nash County, North Carolina on May 1st. Approximately one to two years old and an American Staffordshire mix, Paisley gave birth to nine pups on May 5th. The shelter was no place for Paisley to nurse and care for her puppies. What was urgently needed was a rescue.
On May 6th Dee Dee Smith of HGBSL Rescue in North Carolina requested RADAR’s assistance for Paisley. The rescue wanted to take Paisley and her pups, but needed some financial help. We agreed to help, and Paisley and her pups were safe! Sadly, two of Paisley’s pups did not survive. Paisley had her initial vetting done on June 2nd.
“Paisley is a sweet and beautiful girl,” Dee Dee told us. “She is a great mom. She loves to roll in the grass and play in the sprinkler! She loves my four-year-old granddaughter. Paisley is just such a pleasure. She will make a fabulous addition to any family, with her tail-wagging, happy personality!” To view more photos of Paisley, click here.
RADAR paid $150 towards of Paisley’s initial vetting costs.
