Paul is all about being the life of the party! This energetic Bully Breed mix is just a year old and ready to find new adventures. Paul was found as a stray and taken to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina on May 15th. While not much was known about his past, one thing was for sure: He was heartworm positive, which didn’t do him any favors in finding a rescue or adopter.

On July 18th, Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, reached out to RADAR to see if we could help with Paul. Worthy Dog Rescue in Virginia wanted to pull him from the shelter, but they needed assistance with the cost of his heartworm treatment in order to do so. Unable to resist Paul’s playful personality, we agreed to help, and he was safe! Paul received his split heartworm treatments on August 13th and September 11th.

Folks at the shelter had so many good things to say about Paul: “It’s almost criminal how much fun Paul is! This compact, terribly handsome little guy is your sunshine on a very rainy day!” As if he wasn’t already amazing enough, Paul also does very well with meeting other dogs, and he’s always looking for some fun! “Got a puddle? Paul is in it! Got a lap? Paul is in it! A great choice for an active family who loves hiking, walking down Main Street or simply chilling on a sofa, Paul will make a fantastic companion as he’s so loving, engaging and just as happy as he can be.” To see more photos of Paul, click here.

RADAR paid all $364 of the heartworm treatment costs for Paul.
