Peppy has some pep in her step! A four-year-old Lab mix, she’s a mother to Piper and a grandmother to Peyton–and she adores her family. On July 3rd, the trio arrived at Chesterfield County Animal Services in South Carolina. The people who brought them in said that Peppy and her family had been dumped on their property. As if that wasn’t bad enough for poor Peppy and Piper, they both also tested positive for heartworm.

Thankfully, this trio had people looking out for them. On July 11th, Rebecca Biles-Davis with the shelter and Kristen Kidwell with All 4 Paws Rescue in Pennsylvania reached out to RADAR to see if we could help Peppy and Piper. We were “this close” to offering to help both dogs, when we received word that Piper’s heartworm treatment had just been sponsored! So we offered to assist in the costs of Peppy’s heartworm treatment, and they were all pulled from the shelter on July 14th! Peppy received her treatment on August 7th and 8th.

Rebecca said this about Peppy: “She is a very sweet happy little lady! She loves to get out in the play yard and play with her daughter and granddaughter!” And Peppy’s rescue had this to say, “Peppy is a sweet and friendly girl who gets along with everyone and tends to just go with the flow. She seems thankful for any small dose of kindness and attention she’s offered. Peppy is full of personalityShe loves toys and she’s in heaven with all the new goodies she has to play with. She is athletic and active and would make a great walking, running or hiking buddy!” To see more photos of Peppy, click here.

RADAR paid all $273 of the heartworm treatment costs for Peppy.
