Ralph

Ralph is so dashing and dapper that he looks like he should be in a Ralph Lauren catalog! On April 28th, this one-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix was found as a stray and taken to the Sampson County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. Ralph, who was originally named Alf, was described as sweet and friendly, and good with other dogs. Sadly, he tested heartworm positive.

On May 23rd, Laura Roberts and her Road Home Rescue in North Carolina requested RADAR’s help with Ralph. If we could cover his heartworm treatment costs, Laura would pull Ralph. We agreed to help, securing Ralph’s rescue commitment. He received his heartworm treatment on June 9th.

“Ralph is as smart as a whip,” we were told. “He learned to shake hands. He became the official greeter at his foster’s grooming business. He loves, loves people. Whenever you sit down, he slips right in between your legs and looks up at you with his soft brown eyes. Gotta love our Ralph! He is a bit challenging to photograph because he just wants to sit on your lap!” Click here to view more photos of Ralph.

RADAR paid all of Ralph’s heartworm treatment costs, totaling $151.
