Reagan on RADAR? Imagine that! But in this case, Reagan is an approximately three-year-old female Labrador Retriever-Hound mix. She arrived as a stray on September 16th at the Halifax County Animal Control shelter in North Carolina. Sadly, no one ever came to claim Reagan. With each passing day, her life was increasingly at risk.

On September 28th, RADAR supporter Jackie Stanley contacted us to see if we could help with Reagan. Rainbow Animal Rescue in North Carolina was interested in pulling Reagan on behalf of the HEART Rescue Group in New York, but needed help with her vetting costs. We agreed, and the next day, September 29th, Reagan was safely out of the shelter and off to the vet for her initial vetting.

Reagan arrived in New York on October 23rd. The rescue says this about Reagan: “She’s very friendly with both people and dogs. She has a great personality. She is a laid back, sweet girl. Reagan is the perfect age: lots of playful years left but past the crazy puppy stages!” To view more photos of Reagan, click here.

RADAR paid all of Reagan’s initial vetting costs of $138.
