When it comes to Robert, we can follow Robert’s Rules of Order: All in favor of helping Robert, say “Aye.” Those opposed, say “Nay.” The “Ayes” have it, and Robert gets our help! (If only it were that easy!) One to two-year-old Robert is a 50-pound Shepherd-Hound mix. He was picked up as a stray by animal control on November 16th and taken to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina. This sweet boy had some broken teeth, and was heartworm positive.

On December 11th, Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, asked for RADAR’s help with Robert. She wrote, “Think you might be able to help this super-handsome fellow? To Love a Canine Rescue in Pennsylvania would like to pull him, but first he needs heartworm treatment.” We agreed and Robert received his heartworm treatment on February 21st.

“Robert is a very mild-mannered fellow,” we were told. “He is a dream boy on the leash. He quietly nuzzles right into your lap. He gives big grins even though his teeth are not at their best! He just loves soaking up all of your attention!” Click here to view more photos of Robert.

RADAR paid all of Robert’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $276.
